Spillo collects nothing. Not some things. Nothing. The app contains no networking code at all, so there is no server to send anything to, even by accident.

What the app stores, and where

• Your entries, to-dos and notes, as a file in Spillo's own container on your iPhone.
• Your settings: accent colour, app icon, whether sound is on, whether recordings are kept.
• Audio recordings only if you switch on Keep recordings in Settings. It is off by default, and turning it back off deletes the audio Spillo already had.

All of it stays on the device. None of it is backed up to us, because there is no us to back it up to.

What it never does

• No account, no sign-in, no email address.
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking of any kind.
• No third-party SDKs.
• No iCloud sync.

Speech and Apple Intelligence

Your voice is turned into text by Apple's on-device speech recognition, with on-device recognition explicitly required so the audio cannot be sent to Apple's servers. The text is then organised by Apple Intelligence, which also runs on your iPhone. Neither step involves Spillo sending anything anywhere.

Reminders

If you tap to send a to-do to Apple Reminders, Spillo writes that one reminder into the Reminders app on your device. It only ever happens when you tap, and Spillo does not read your existing reminders.

Deleting everything

Settings has Delete everything, which removes every entry, to-do and recording. Deleting the app removes the same data.

Children

Spillo is rated 4+ and collects nothing from anyone, at any age.
